The Lonavala Education Trust was established in the year 1981 by few enterprising residents of Lonavala with an objective of imparting higher education to the student community in and around Lonavala who were deprived of it. The college was started in 1983, with a merely sixty students in the auspicious bungalow of Kotak family. The entire college was established and shifted with the blessings by Dr. B. N. Purandare Trust, Bombay with their vast and naturally beautiful campus in 1987.

I had a wonderful time at Valvan College. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and supportive. The infrastructure is well-maintained, with spacious classrooms and a well-stocked library.

The college has a nice atmosphere and friendly teachers, but the industry exposure is limited. More guest lectures and internships should be provided to students.
