Department of Economics has been organising this activity since last ten
years with help of Seth Walchand Hirachand Group of Industries.The programme
and the prizes are sponsored by them.They also provide books and relevant
academic materials related to the elocution competition topics which is provided
to the students for preparation.
It is a prestigious competition. The subjects are given by Forum and students can
speak on any one subject. The subjects are related to latest issues of economics.
Participants can speak in English, Hindi or any regional language for five minutes.
We get good response from our students every year. Since the number of
participants has to be restricted we have to take elimination round. There are
three prizes including cash and booklets and certificates are awarded to the six
best speakers.
